'Ello pacKmates!
This is your Alpha, =Meokio announcing that yes, I'm BACK! And so is The-pacK.
As a club, we've been terribly uninvolved and unimaginative, so I'm out to change it!

As recently stated, The-pacK has in fact implemented it's PackPoints System, more info here: [link]
And, as the PackMall is currently out of order, you all have 25 PP, or †25.
I shall endeavor to get both the Mall and Bank up and running as soon as possible, but I'm only one alpha, and still in school, so don't expect them this very instant.
PackMate ~Aeshin and myself are also in the process of designing weapons for your use, and will have those up in due time as well.

The-pacK is holding it's first contest!
We ask all of our members to design things for the pacK-Mall.
These items can be clothes, accessories, pets, transports, potions, etc..

Just send a link to your entry in a note.

Voting will be by pacK Alpha and Beta's.

Winning items will be made available to all members of The-pacK, as well as being featured in =Meokio's journal, and ~The-pacK's journal AND mainpage!

We're on the lookout for pacK-themed art works.
If you happen to have any, just comment on pacK main page, or note =Meokio.
This follows the same for new works.

Each pacKmate has a Spirit Animal. This animal is decided a lot by your personality and qualities.
Your animal may also have a human form that would be like your "true self".

We ask that each of the pacKmates submit a picture or description of your Animal and Self.

Also, in an effort to make The-pacK more RPG friendly, the pacK aristocracy will be taking the Characterization Forms (found here: [link]) and making your characters a "Character Sheet" that would easily summarize your individual character's personality, appearance, strengths and weaknesses.

Now that we've reached the date of closing for our contest, I'd like to thank absolutely nobody for being active.
The contest is now ongoing, with the hopes that somebody besides myself will take part.

Well guys, the ballots are in, and it looks like we WILL be integrating the Pack Point system, as designed by Meokio.

General overview of the issue:

All members will start off with 25 pack-points.

These could be used to change uniforms, buy weapons, and magic.

The Ranks may shift, to create in-between levels that would allow you to have more power over general pacK matters.

A pacK Mall is being created, with pictures of all the items that are available, prices included, as well as Special Edition items that will be released on certain holidays.

Eventually, we will need a Pack Money-Master, who would act as the banker, being in charge of the member's funds, though for a time, ~Meokio will assume this responsibility.

We will also hold contests, where members could design things for the pacK-Mall, and winning items would be made available to all members of The-pacK, with their creators receiving part of the profit from each resulting sale. Returns, will most likely be set at 25%.

Eventually, we will have a job-class system with salaries, though if the system goes into place, pacK Aristocracy, Alphas and Betas, will automatically be compensated for their work, in the form of points.
But don't worry, after all, it IS possible to gain higher rank: read more here, at our pacK FAQ. And after we open the Mall and Bank, those members who choose to hold these jobs will be paid accordingly as well.

In fact, Meokio is planning to design an entire Pack City in the near future, where each of you would be able to have your own shops.

As far as the actual items are concerned, so far ~Meokio and ~Aeshin have agreed to design the weapons, while ~Meokio already created yonder Uniforms. Other uniform pieces, such as accessories, armor, and such would also be made available.

At this point in time, The-pacK is operating with only one of the original Alphas. ~Khieki has agreed to drop to the status of PackMate for this time, though she may be raised to the level of Beta in the future.
~FreakyMuu has agreed to re-enter The-pacK, with the rank of Beta.

The ~pacK-Bank is responsible for keeping the running balances for all pacK members.

Every month, on the 13th, the Bank will send out a balance statement, via note. This will simply contain the amount of PackPoints you have at that time.

All transfers of PackPoints will will be done in note form: this includes purchases from other users, the ~pacK-Mall, sales, trades, disputes, gifts, etc..

EXAMPLE 1:
Bob requests to purchase item number 13, Alpha-Issue jacket from the pacK-Mall for the listed amount of 100 PackPoints."

Bob would then send this note to the pacK-Bank, who would check his funds and make sure he actually had 100 points in his "account".
If he did, Bank would then forward the note to ~pacK-Mall, who would reply to the Bank directly.


EX2:
Transaction accepted: item 13, Alpha-Issue Jacket, in exchange for 100 PackPoints.


If Bob did not have the necessary points, however, he would receive a note entitled "Insufficient Funds".

The Mall Manager would send this note to both the Bank and Bob. The Bank would then take the agreed amount from Bob's account. As Meokio had created this particular item, she would receive a gratuity of 25%, which in this case would actually be 25 points, as well as a notice that Bob had purchased her item.

If Meokio so chose, she could also send Bob a thank-you gift:


EX3:
Transaction accepted.
Purchase includes extra item, free of charge: you get one pair of striped socks as a thank you for your business!


Bob, after receiving his note from Meokio, would have in his possession the jacket he paid for, and any gifts she included.

Meokio could also give discounts or rebates like so:


Transaction accepted: item 13, Alpha-Issue Jacket, in exchange for 90 PackPoints!


As you can see, we want to keep the general form consistent, without limiting your creativity and fun-factor. :3

The Bank will be updated weekly, on fridays, and balance statements will be sent after every successful transaction.
The Bank will also keep records of each transaction for up to one month, as a form of receipt, should any problems with the transfer occur.

The Bank will also be capable of returns, should you change your mind about a purchase within one month of payment:
Simply send a note to ~pacK-Bank, requesting your points back. Balances will be resent, with updated numbers and you will remove the item from you inventory.
